Disinfolklore works because it operates at a level below conscious awareness — through archetypes we absorbed as children, through emotional triggers we cannot easily identify, through stories that feel true because they resonate with patterns installed in us before we could reason. The psychology of Disinfolklore is the psychology of how these primordial patterns are exploited.
