Ground-Truth Knowledge
As a diplomat in eastern Ukraine, I worked on Environmental Security. I visited rocket fuel storage sites. This is what one expert told me: if 800 tonnes of USSR-era rocket fuel ignites then an area of 150km around the site will be affected and the explosive wave will spread out 2.5km. Russia is purposefully hitting these storage sites to cause environmental catastrophe — they are NOT ammo dumps.

The OSINT community misidentified Russian strikes on Yuzhmash (Dnipro) and Pavlohrad as ‘ammo dump’ attacks. The author, having personally visited these facilities as OSCE Environmental Security adviser, knew they were spent Soviet-era rocket fuel storage sites. Russia knew exactly where these sites were because the USSR left them there. The strike aimed to create a nuclear-scale environmental catastrophe. Ukraine had secretly disposed of the heptyl fuel after February 24, foiling the plan. Russia’s propaganda sites immediately claimed a leak — proving the intent.
