The Chernobyl Precedent: Authoritarian + Nuclear = Information Control

Authoritarian + nuclear power means: state controls all info - took three days after Swedes detected radiation spikes at their power plants for SU to admit ‘small’ problem. Info control & denial was a big part of the way state dealt with disaster.

The historical template. Chernobyl established the pattern: authoritarian + nuclear = information control. The Soviet cover-up was not a failure of communication — it was the system working as designed. ZNPP in 2022 follows the same pattern: occupy the plant, control the information, deny responsibility. Nuclear Disinfolklore has a forty-year history.
