Fear as Kompromat

Fear itself functions as kompromat. The abuser does not need actual compromising material when fear of consequences serves the same function. In Russia’s system, the fear of what MIGHT happen — arrest, disappearance, economic ruin — produces the same compliance as actual blackmail. Fear IS the compromising material.

A concept found ONLY in Twitter. Fear as kompromat inverts the traditional understanding: kompromat is not just material — it is the emotional state that material produces. If you can produce the state without the material, the effect is identical.
