Neutralising Emotion-Moving Stories

Disinfolklore uses stories to communicate fear into others’ minds.

Counter Disinfolklore is an analytical method employing the following means to neutralise the power of Disinfolklore to hack minds with such emotion-moving stories.

The fundamental unit of analysis in the “Counter Disinfolklore” analytical method is, appropriately enough, a trope from folklore: The Troll. Trolls consist of emotion-moving energy (Mana) that only moves when we share them. Then, we become the troll. The meme / informational unit (also known as a troll) consumes us, as it instrumentalises us to keep it in motion.

We need a system / mental algorithm that helps us make immediate (albeit provisional) assessments but also reliable assays of the quality of the thousands of informational units (trolls) we encounter every single day of our lives.

My solution to this challenge is what I call the Code of Positive Trolls.

The mechanism in full: Disinfolklore hacks minds with stories that move emotions. The Troll is the unit of analysis. Trolls are made of Mana — energy that moves only when shared. When you share a troll, you become its vehicle. The Code of Positive Trolls is the algorithm that breaks this cycle.
