Cambridge Analytica — Small Rooms, Big Cult

CA focussed on trolling for unsuspecting Internet users who are high on the Neurotic and low on the Conscientiousness dimension of the OCEAN psychological spectrum. When an online group composed of people with that psychological inventory was large enough, Cambridge Analytica brought the group together In Real Life. In communities all over America, CA purposely found meeting rooms that were a little bit too small for the number of Facebook group users they were going to bring together In Real Life. They used long-tested Russian combat propaganda techniques to create community by igniting division against scapegoats inside the crowd of people in those small rooms who then became hooked and went out and converted more adherents into the cult. These are the people who form the core of MAGA, the acorn seed out of which emanates the community which would mature into the Jan 6th insurrectionists who invaded the U.S. Capitol.
