How to understand ‘ceasefire’ soap opera.

Russia and US are on the same team. We’re watching a concocted soap opera. ‘Will they?’ ‘Won’t they?’ and US pretending it’s not acting as Russia’s proxy is the show we’re watching.

Of course Russia will accept the ‘ceasefire,’ eventually - Russia is pushing America’s buttons on this entire process. Russia will try to pretend that Russia is not controlling all of America’s moves. I have every confidence President Zelenskyy and those around him see this as the spectacle it is designed to be with the Russians pulling the strings.

Like Disinfolklore Don and his tariffs on, tariffs off trolling, Russia wants to be the one who is centre stage.

The ceasefire spectacle decoded. The “will they / won’t they” drama is not genuine negotiation — it is a concocted soap opera where Russia pulls the strings. The US pretends not to be acting as proxy. The audience (us) consumes the drama as entertainment while the outcome was predetermined. Centre stage is the prize.
