The Rule-of-Law Paradox
It’s important for us to understand how many who genuinely identify as politically conservative and politically right could, within a short period of few years, also genuinely support a political project that, for example, put an adjudicated rapist with 34 criminal convictions into the White House without their brains breaking under the weight of the contradiction between the Right’s adherence under the Reagan/Thatcher model to Rule of Law, and MAGA’s disdain for the law and what is right.
