Propp’s Morphology as Military Doctrine — The Folklore-Genocide Paradox
Communities cannot survive if their fertility and fecundity is attacked so relentlessly in these ways. It is almost as if the great Russian folklore theorist Vladimir Propp’s work is determining Russia’s strategy in Ukraine: steal the sovereignty and security of Ukraine’s Inner Realm by invading and destroying Ukraine’s sustainability through deporting millions of women and children upon whom the future of Ukraine depends, while killing as many Ukrainians as possible, and destroying the food supply.

The nation that produced the world’s greatest folklorist now executes his morphology as military strategy. Academic analysis of fairy tale structure becomes the operational blueprint for real-world atrocity. This is the paradox of knowledge — understanding how stories work does not prevent their weaponisation but enables it.
