The Redefinition

After a lengthy study into the usage of the terms “trolling” and “trolls” (and their constituent linguistic elements, going back as far as we have written texts in Indo-European languages) it’s axiomatic in Disinfolklore that: “trolling is ANY emotion-moving activity of body, speech and mind.” Then the issue arises as to how we can distinguish positive from negative and neutral trolling?

The Code of Positive Trolls is a mental algorithm we can all use to analyse any sensory data to determine if its content is Positive, Negative or Neutral. Basically, if for example, you notice the content in a meme is ungenerous, then, you know that meme breaches the first element in the Code of Positive Trolls, and therefore is Negative. It’s a Negative Troll.

This is not a metaphor. Every piece of information you encounter — a news headline, a family member’s remark, a meme, a facial expression — is a troll. The only question is its quality.
