Why -Rg, -Rt, -Rch Are One Cryptotype

The claim that -rg-, -rt-, and -rch- are a single cryptotype is a structural claim, not a wordplay claim. Here is the shape of the evidence.

The Proto-Indo-European root *reg- (to stretch a rod, to rule straight, to make right) surfaces across every major branch of the language family with remarkable stability:

In Germanic/English: right, reach, rich, ruler, reign, regal.
In Latin/Romance: rex, regere, rectus, directus, rectitude, regal, regulation.
In Sanskrit/Vedic: rta (cosmic order, truth); the Rigveda itself is literally the “Veda of Rta.”
In Iranian: arta (truth, right, Ahura’s order), surviving into Persian rast and in Zoroaster’s name Zarathustra (Zara-uštra, the one who drives cattle rightly).
In Greek: orekto-, orthos (straight), and in arche — “first principle, origin, rule” — which gave us archetype, monarch, oligarch, hierarch, anarchy.
In Celtic: rí (king, Irish), rig- (ruler, Gaulish).

The cryptotype spans thousands of years and tens of thousands of derivations, but the signal is consistent: it marks rectitude in the triple sense of straightness, rulership, and truth. A word carrying this marker is carrying a claim about what is Right-Patterned — what is ordered according to the deep pattern that a culture accepts as the cosmic default.

Archetype inherits this marker through Greek arche. So do monarch and oligarch. Every usage of these words — and thousands of others — sounds the same signal. A culture fluent in Indo-European languages is a culture already saturated with the Rg/Rt/Rch cryptotype, whether its speakers consciously know the cryptotype exists or not.

This is why the invisible battle has such leverage. It is not fighting in a void. It is fighting inside a six-thousand-year-old acoustic-semantic substrate that every Indo-European speaker is using, every hour of every day, without noticing.
