The Master Archetype

Immanent in such Disinfolklore, again with slight variations, almost every time they’re repeated, is an identical archetypal structure, which is completely preposterous yet believed in by most Russians (and as far as we can know even by Putin himself): “The entire Ukrainian people is being held hostage by their democratically elected leadership and long for liberation by soldiers from a foreign power (Russia).”
