I call such stories as that recounted here by Putin “Archetypal Disinfolklore” because immanent in them are these same archetypes as appear in millions of other stories inside the Russian Information Galaxy, with slight variations in monikers, settings, and circumstances — “Neo-Nazis,” “bunch of Junkies,” “hostages,” “Ultra-Nationalists,” “human shields,” “children, wives and elders,” and Good Soldiers (“servicemen”).
