The Wagner Paradox

People in your apartment block recount stories (Disinfolklore) with these archetypal structures immanent within them, and millions of online stories contain its essence. I heard this exact story too, in many different forms, being retold to me by Russian army soldiers from a unit named “Wagner” because Wagner was Hitler’s favourite composer of operas based on Germanic mythology, ancient folk songs and folklore. That’s right! Soldiers inside a unit dedicated to the memory of actual Nazis can’t see the dissonance between invading Ukraine to free it from mythical neo-Nazis while they cosplay imitating real Nazis. That’s how powerful that Disinfolklore Galaxy became.
