Fact-checking addresses individual claims. Disinfolklore operates at a deeper level: it deploys the same archetypal structures that fairy tales, myths and folk stories have used for millennia to shape how we perceive reality. The problem is not that people believe specific lies — it is that entire communities get enmeshed in self-sustaining narrative ecosystems.
