History of Disinfolklore

Disinfolklore is not new. The weaponisation of folklore-borne narratives to manipulate populations has a long and traceable history — from the Ossian forgery of the 1760s through Herder’s call to the ten German tribes, the folklore-to-nation pipeline that created modern states, Serbia’s pioneering weaponisation, Russia’s great insight, reflexive control, the Internet Research Agency, and the concept of Stealth Genocide.
