Generosity: The Primary Filter
I find the first criterion in the Code of Positive Trolls — Generosity — particularly useful, in my daily life, on- and off-line. Authoritarian-minded trolls are almost always mean. Ungenerosity is immanent in almost every drop of the pure poison they inject into our communities, through their Disinfolklore laden stories. “Is it Generous?” is a Good Enough test to sort quickly in real time which memes, if I allow them into my unguarded mind, will probably negatively provoke my Mana into communicating Negative emotions / energy / Mana into others’ minds / Mana.

Generosity is also the most readily available antidote for Disinfolklore. Disinfolklore has systemic impacts as a function of the aggregation of meanness in our psyche that Disinfolklore memes/informational units deliver, often undetected, into our Inner Minds (Mana).

When you have no time to apply all six elements, apply the first. “Is it generous?” Authoritarians are almost always mean. Meanness is a reliable signature of Disinfolklore. And Generosity is not just a test — it is the antidote. The aggregation of meanness is what Disinfolklore does to societies; the aggregation of Generosity is what Counter Disinfolklore restores.
