Case Study: The “Tiredness” Meme
Our info-space is filled with (linguistic) memes conveying an emotion of ‘tiredness’ directly into our minds. We who are unaffected by daily missile strikes and the absence and deaths of loved ones become occupied via these linguistic memes by ‘tiredness.’ From Ruschist Disinfolklorists such memes arrive into our minds in a package. We experience ‘tiredness’ then we adopt the proposed bogus solution: ‘Ukraine surrenders to genocide.’ We then ‘feel’ this emotion: ‘Ukraine is stubborn. Let’s starve Ukraine of weaponry. Then, we will be relieved of our faux tiredness.’

Apply Tool 3: What is the Mana in the “tiredness” meme? The emotion (tiredness) arrives packaged with a bogus solution (Ukraine surrenders). The Mana is designed to depress us, to drain our will to resist. Apply the Generosity criterion: is it generous to demand that a people fighting genocide surrender? No. The Mana is Negative. Make a call: Disinfolklore.
