Don Rivers and Death Mythology

Ancient Ukraine’s territory is within the catchment area of the Don, Donets, Dnieper (Don Hyper), Dniester (Don Istris) and Danube rivers — all bearing the D-N- sound. The D-N- system connects rivers, death-gods (Donn, Yama), the underworld passage, and the first Greeks (Danaans). Daina in Iranian/Zoroastrian culture is the guardian at Chinvat Bridge — connecting D-N- to the House of Lies / House of Songs judgment.

The D-N- sound connects Ukraine’s physical geography (its great rivers) to IE death mythology (Donn as Lord of Death, grandson of the king of Scythia/Ukraine) and to the foundational judgment metaphor of the entire Disinfolklore framework (Chinvat Bridge, House of Lies/Songs). Ukraine’s rivers literally carry the sound of its mythological significance.
