“‘Germany’s founder is called Mannus. That’s where the ‘many’ in ‘Germany’ comes from!’ the German diplomat told me in a friendly voice. ‘I wonder,’ she continued. ‘Is our Mannus related to your Manannan? Their names sound quite similar.‘”
