This week I was interviewed by . In the interview I speak about how the module of Mana fits into , the new analytical method for parsing Disinformation which I invented.

, of course, and indeed my empirical research into the M-N- sounds recurrence across the Indo-European cultural zone is about much more than merely interpreting Disinformation.

However, as a use case demonstrating (M-N-) the power of Mana, having a means of expressing what it is that characterises Russian Disinfolklore and Disinformation as such is of crucial importance.

With a concept of Mana we can take a multiplicity of vectors of suspected Russian information warfare activities and parse them into their elements.

We understand that the Mana of Russian Disinfolklore includes Coercive Control; Misogyny; Justifying genocide; Accusation in a Mirror; and, above all, the desire to destroy the totality of the post World War Two settlement, including the Genocide, Refugee and Geneva (Laws of War) conventions, UN Charter (territorial integrity and right to self defence), the European Convention on Human Rights, and international legal instruments enshrining non-discrimination on a variety of grounds (including sex, national origin, political views, and religion).

The Mana of Ruschism is in any meme when such tropes promote the destruction of our right to participate in public decision making.

While speaking to it occurred to me that the Mana of Positive Trolling is Generosity, Ethical Discipline, Patience, Joyous Perseverance, Focus, and Insight. This means that when we’re assessing linguistic, audible or visual memes, if we determine their Mana / energy conforms with these six constituent elements of the Code of Positive Trolls, then, we know we’re dealing with Counter Disinfolklore.
