Intermediate Pathway

You understand the basics: trolling as emotion-moving activity, Mana as the energy in a meme, the Code of Positive Trolls as your test. Now go deeper into the full Twelve Tools framework and see how the positive and negative conceptual chains work in practice.

Step 1: The Full Detection Suite

You already know Tools 2 and 3 from the Beginners path. Now complete the Detection suite. Tool 1 teaches you to see the archetype behind any meme. Tool 4 maps which realm is being targeted. Tool 5 traces the manipulation chain: what Triggers you, what Experience it creates, and what Reaction it harvests.

Step 2: The Adjudication Tools

Read: Tool 7Tool 8Tool 9Tool 10Tool 11Tool 12

The six Adjudication criteria (derived from The Six Perfections) are the framework’s scoring rubric. Each criterion asks a specific question about the meme’s Mana. Together they produce a verdict: Positive (Infolklore), Negative (Disinfolklore), or Neutral.

Step 3: The Negative Chain

Read: Coercive ControlWar Magic (incl. Provocation Logic Cycle) → StealthDrama (examined through the Spectacle lens)

How Disinfolklore works when it succeeds: Coercive Control (the strategic purpose) → War Magic (the mechanism, which includes the Provocation Logic Cycle and the Laws of Sympathetic Magic) → Stealth (the concealment, over years and decades) → Drama (the public theatrical performance whose Mana is drawn from the Tr- cryptotype connecting Drama, Dream, the German Traum and Trauma). The deeper Debord-influenced lens on the Drama lives at Spectacle — we become passive Watchers, consumers of someone else’s narrative.

Step 4: The Positive Chain

Read: Counter-DisinfolkloreRearchetypingInfolklore

How to break the cycle: Counter-Disinfolklore (the activity) → Code of Positive Trolls (the instrument) → Adjudication (the verdict) → Rearchetyping (the conscious reconstruction of meaning) → Infolklore (the positive output).

Step 5: Archetypes

See the tools applied to real events. Little Green Men (the founding case study), Istanbul Peace Talks (a perennial Disinfolklore character), and Visual Meme Analysis (how the tools work on images, not just text).

What You Now Know

After these five steps, you can:

  • Apply all twelve Tools to any meme
  • Trace the negative chain (Coercive Control → War Magic → Stealth → Drama)
  • Follow the positive chain (Counter-DF → Rearchetyping → Infolklore)
  • Analyse real-world case studies using the full framework
