Tool 1: Archetypal Disinfolklore Literacy
The word Archetype itself carries a hidden signal. The Rch in A-Rch-e-type belongs to the Rg / Rt / Reg / Rch / Rit / Rd cryptotypic semantic signalling system — the Indo-European root for right, rule, order, sovereignty, truth. An archetype is literally a Right-Pattern: a ruling first-model. Archetypal literacy, then, is learning to read the Right-Patterns that rule cognition — and to detect when Disinfolklore has colonised them. See The Second Cryptotype (FM Passage 49).
The first tool in the arsenal. The troll is the fundamental metaphor and archetype of Disinfolklore — any emotion-moving activity of body, speech, and mind. Archetypes are what trolls carry: the ancient patterns encoded in stories that make disinformation stick. Disinfolklore, as an analytical method, enables us to perceive how those seeking to manipulate us use archetypes immanent in ordinary-seeming stories to create contemporary legends masquerading as news or political speech. Learning to see archetyping — learning to see what the troll is carrying — is, for us mere mortals, a superpower.
