Mother and the Maiden

The founding discovery of Disinfolklore. In 2016, a Russian MGB “walk-in” presented a story about a “common law wife and her underage daughter” about to be “cut into pieces” by a Ukrainian “Nazi.” Something about the linguistic formula sounded artificial. The archetypes of the Mother and the Maiden — among the most primordial in Indo-European culture — had been deliberately deployed to trigger protective emotions and manipulate a diplomatic response.

This archetype analysis documents the moment when the author first consciously recognised Disinfolklore, the first conscious Counter-Disinfolklore operation, and the analytical method that grew from that recognition.

Key Themes

  • The artificial formula — “common law wife and her underage daughter” as deliberately over-qualified folkloric language
  • The Mother and the Maiden — Karl Jung’s primordial archetypal identities, weaponised by Russian intelligence
  • The first Counter-Disinfolklore operation — using the same archetypes against the Disinfolklorists
  • Two reactions to the same troll — the English police officer’s scepticism vs. the Bulgarian general’s activation

Tools Demonstrated

This archetype analysis demonstrates Tool 1: Archetypal Literacy (recognising the Mother and Maiden archetypes), Tool 2: Troll Radars (the Incoming Troll Radar firing), and Ethical Discipline (the story was a lie).
