“So we’re not only decolonizing our view of prehistory so that rather than looking at the past and not thinking about ancient Ukraine, as being in any way analogous to ancient Germany or Ireland or Greece or Rome. As part of Finding Manuland, we will decolonize our mental model. We will create a presence where there is an absence. And this will be true to history and true to the science, the latest science and the latest research. But we are also purposefully recentering ancient Ukraine as part of our mental models of where we come from in a way that very few researchers are doing yet.”
